Several companies (including mine) have attempted to use the Galil board for
CNC. The only one still trying is Camsoft and their system has the same
bugs everyone else had.

The Galil programming language is very powerful but does not adapt well to
RS274 G-codes. Galil wrote a G-code parser and even they could not make it
work, which is why they took it off the market.

If you are experienced with Galil and can work around it's limitations then
it is a good product. I was interested in building a controller for the
retrofit market. It is not suitable for this purpose.

I still have an unused DMC-1000 four axis board if you are interested in
working with this system.
