Is this a servo-controlled spindle axis? If so, there is probably something wrong with either
the spindle motor servo drive or the DAC that controls the spindle axis. If the spindle drive
is the same as another axis, you may be able to swap drive units to isolate the problem.

Is the speed difference large, or small? By that, I mean, is it twice as fast one way as the other?
Or just a 10% variation?
