Hi Guys,
I'm just about to start converting my Taig milling machine to CNC and
have Zylotex Stepper driver good to 35V and 2.5A.
I have some Japan Servo Co. Nema 23 size steppers that have few
specs. They are 6 wire unipolar and the only spec is 6V. I measured
the full winding resistance at 10 ohm.
Due to the limitations of the driver I can only go 5 X the rated
voltage. Can I try 2.5 amps and just check for a warm motor ? How
would you experts handle a situation like this?
My head is absolutely swimming trying to figure this stuff out by
searching the archives

On the verticle part of the learning curve !!
