To anybody interested in engraving fonts, BobCAD allows you to take
'true-text' fonts and "smash" them into line segments (too bad it
doesn't simulate 'best-fit' curves), which can then be converted into
G-code moves. Then, you should be able to take each character and scale
it to it's required size, and position it with the appropriate G-OFFSET
code to do a line of text. I think that Dan probably uses personalized
text that he developed in a similar way. I also remember that "DR
Dobb's Journal" went through a series on the development of
eye-appealing text, in the '80's (Geeze, that makes me feel old). Also,
old DesignCAD (and perhaps even the newer versions) had the capability
to create line-letters from the available fonts. I used to use that
feature, when sending DXF files, to replace the dimensions and text, as
DXF didn't handle text.

for OT subjects, that are not allowed on the CCED list.
