Help w/ old equip!!

I have two older drive modules, details listed below. They are both the
size of three New York City phone books and weigh about 50 lbs. each. I
plan on scrapping them for the power supplies and components unless
someone can tell me if they are worth trying to use "as-is".

The first is a Modu-lynx motion control (w/power supply) that includes:
IMD015 microstep indexer card
DRD002A Driver Card
IOD004A Interface card

The other is a Slo-Syn Preset indexer Type IK600C (w/power supply)

Can these things be made to work with regular Step/Direction TTL? They
look like RS232, but beyond that I don't know squat about them. (or
about RS232 for that matter)
Any help?
