Hi, first and very important what metal are you cutting?? and tell us
something about the pattern you are cutting. Proper cutting amps and
air/oxygen flow are real important. if you do not have flow guages on your
gasses then you are guessing the settings. My brother and i repaired all
kinds of Plasma cutting machines and things get in the way of speed;
1. Is the head clean and assembled with all its seals in place?
2. Electrical connections right and tight. a loose connector will do bad
things.
3. If you have a spark back or "pop back" stop and clean the head. might
save you buying a bunch of head parts.
4. distance to the work and thickness of material have affects.
5. Distance from power panel and size of cord machine is running off=BIG
and Short is best.
The big hypertherm i played with you could cut a car into shreads in a few
minutes! I wrote my name into a spring from a big dump truck as fast as i
could move the head with 2 hands. cul brian f.
