IBM Notebooks & Geckos

I have a problem getting IBM Think Pads to talk to my Gecko 201 s , I
have 5 notebooks ,2 760 ED , 760EL , 755C , 755CX , and only 1 (
the755CX ) will talk to my drives . I have 2 docking stations and they
don't help either .
I can turn the relays on and off with the " F keys " ( coolant &
whatever ) with all of them .
Have any of you had a problem with the IBM notebooks ??
