I need to construct a probe in order to digitize a piece made out of
what I believe to be 360 brass. I need to be absolutely certain that
no marks will be left on the brass. Can I use a pure copper probe?
The maximum thrust toward the piece will be 60 oz/in. The probe will
be sliding up and down in contact with the piece when measuring
vertical edges. Any other material suggestions for the probe will be
appreciated, however I need for the material to be at least an
average conductor.
