I'm using a program called editNC. It is free to download and use as a
viewer, but if you also want to interactively edit the Gcode you need to
pay for a license key.

It does not do a solid representation of the cut, just a wireframe of the
Gcode commands. But it is useful as a sanity check to make sure nothing
looks too wrong (especially to second-guess the toolpath visualization in
VisualMill Free, which sometimes is not accurate...) You can play back at
different speeds, and it gives an analysis of the cut time based on cutting
speed and the path length.
