Hi All:
I am looking for a source for a ground ballscrew 1" or so in dia and
0.200" pitch about 12" long.
I need a rotating ballnut to go with it.
It is intended to convert a sinker EDM from Moog valve/hydraulic cylinder
ram to stepper driven ram.
I need a rotating ballnut design for economy of space.
While I'm at it, if I have to buy a metric ballscrew, will I have
difficulties obtaining precise inch fractions of motion? (metric screws seem
a lot easier to get.)
I will be running a timing belt drive so I can snuggle the motor up beside
the fixed screw...so I thought if push really came to shove, I could make a
127/100 timing belt pulley set.
Seems a bit of a pain though.
Is there an easier way?
I don't mind spending what it takes, but stock stuff would be nice.(cheaper)
I don't really want to have to go to someone like Wedin and get a custom one
made up.
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Marcus
