Yep, awesome motors, sounds like a jet engine going into full power, makes
the hair stand up on your neck! And the price is expensive but you get all
you pay for. Wood products had a 8 hp Perske working spindle, ran on 2000
hertz inverter for 18,000 rpm. everytime they fired that up everybody ran or
ducked for cover!! cul brian f.

Yes, I would certainly imagine so! I built a couple of machines that were
shipped to customers far, far away, and in those I used German-made Perske
high-freq. 3-Ø router-spindle-motors, and their motor-generator which takes
"shop-current" and turns it into the 400 Hz. needed for the routers. Now,
THOSE are some serious machinery, and Perske makes those "spindle-motors"
with collets build-on from "laminate-trimmer size" to huge multi-hp monsters
that change the Zip-codes every time they are switched on (and damage
peoples' hearing, if within quarter-mile at that time).
