Why are the output pins on the allegro micro mislabed? Instead of A,
A-B, B, B-C, D, they have some different order like DBCA. I just
soldered a wiring harness using the ABCD order and the spec sheet
from the pacific scientific powremax stepper I'm using, and then
freaked out when I read the 5804 datasheet with its different order.
After much investigation and research, it appears that they just
relabeled the output pins in the wierd order so that the output steps
in 'wave' mode go 'ABCD'.
Last night I got the stepper hooked up to my linux EMC system and ran
some programs with just one axis. It doesn't seem like much but it's
a big milestone. I'm on my way!
