Ok there to all.
I want do build (for about 2 years now) a XY cutting table using
plasma. After talking with Doug Fortune from cncKITS, and with some
other guys in the mailing list of EMC, I would like some comments on a
complete set of software and hardware that I'm going to adquire:
In resume this is what I need:
X, Y control for 2D cutting
Z control for adjustment on the cutting tip OR it can be adjusted
manualy (without no contact with the working piece - plasma)
On/off of the cutting (plasma)
Different cutting speeds, of course
And this is what i'm thinking to buy / obtain:
CAD / CAM - SURFCAM (anyone that don't like it ?)
GCODE to CONTROLLERS - TurboCNC (simpler than EMC)
CONTROLLERS - Gecko drives (some model suitable to the motors)
SERVO MOTORS - About 400-500 oz in
Any one knows a good place to buy the servo motors in EUROPE ???
Some one from the list is from EUROPE ??? no guys from France, Spain,
Germany ? Where are those ?
Thanks to all
