In Praise of Vector CAD/CAM

I would like to share a CAD/CAM experience with the list that may benefit
somebody deciding on a software package to purchase.
A customer of mine recently requested a titanium wedding ring with an Elvish
inscription using the Tengwar font from The Lord of the Rings.
After installing the proper font, Vector was able to create a toolpath from
this True-Type font (after I figured out the appropriate key strokes). Each
letter was then spiral pocketed with a 0.015" diameter tool. The resultant
G-Code file of over 9600 individual moves, was created effortlessly. The
G-code was then post processed in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to calculate
appropriate feedrates for EACH move since it is combined rotary and linear
G01 commands.
First try, perfect.

Thank you Vector (and Fred Smith for his AMAZING support).
