Jeff,

You need one drive per axis so yes it would be 3 G201/210 drives. Yes
the Stepperworld unit fills the same function. No it will not have
anywhere near the same performace as the Gecko. There are not any drives
on the market that I am aware of which will give you the performance of
the Gecko (microstepping, bipolar, current limiting chopper design, 80 V
max) that are near the same price or less money. The stepperworld units
are unipolar resistor current limiting designs.

The disadvantage of going with a BTR is that the old Bridgeport drives
are very expensive to maintain. Also the Bridgeport drives run from a 3
phase transformer. So unless you have 3 phase you now will need it to
power the drive. BTW, the spindle is probably 3 phase also.
