I have had no luck with the SIS530 board. Using RedHat 5.2 I can not get X to run at all. I loaded Red Hat 6.0 and got X to run in what looked like 320 x 200 resolution.
When I try to upgrade XFree86 in RedHat 5.2, I get a lot of messages saying that it failed because it needs a lot of other new packages (different Lib packages and X packages)
Even with BIOS set at 2048 for video memory, the probe programs find 0 K video memory.
Any suggestions?
