I get many looking for a good Aluminum Source.
So, I might make mention that anyone seeking "Drops" of aluminum to
build portions of their CNC machines could contact: Howard Precision
Metals, If your anywhere near Milwaukee Wisconsin.
http://www.howardprecision.com/
I'm not too far away so I always call. A nice youg lady on the other
end of the line asks me a minimum size I need, and promptly reports what
she has listed in her database for "Drops" available. I do not have
pricing with me right now, but it has always been fair in my book,
especially when they usually get real close in size to what I want, thus
avoiding waste. ALL pieces I have received are 100% squared off with
very, very good cutting techniques, making it easy to start machining
that part, for of course, your home made CNC machine. I have not have
them complain over any minimum orders, but I always get a few chunks
right away. Interestingly, they deliver for free to my location ( 100
miles away) because they run my way once a week. Friendly driver too.
Good company in my book. I would assume An E-mail with what you are
looking for would get equally cheerful results for those pieces you need
to build a CNC machine with.
