Just a thought...
Recently I've been developing several applications on the Windows CE 3.0 and 4.0.Net
I must say the stability of CE on a 300MHz Geode hardware platform is amazing. The Geode is a cross
breed between 486 and pentium, I can boot to Regular DOS and it will run all DOS Programs so far.
Hardware and Port access is as easy as DOS, and it has the Windows GUI.
Pity MS dos not sell CE as a stand alone OS, I've only been able to buy the license with
hardware.
