You may want to consider other options. R8 are good milling low cost
collets they are rigid but they require a draw bar. For tools under 3/8 I
think R8 is more than you need. Double angle collets "DA" come in many
different sizes some that cover the range you are looking for. DA collets
are low cost and common they use a retaining nut to hold them in so simple to
work with and you can buy extentions that can be modified into spindels ect.
