Some discussion in the last day or two on obtaining
rack & pinion parts. All know that www.mcmaster.com
has these types of parts available, but there prices
are not always the best around.

I've used Kaman Industrial Technologies at
www.kamandirect.com or call 888 235 3550 to find the
location of a dealer nearest to you.

Also, Applied Industrial Technologies at
www.appliedindustrial.com or call 877 279 2799 for
nearest dealer. These two companies have hundreds of
dealers nationwide. And there are other companies
like them.

The last purchase I made involved racks and pinions
and some other linear motion parts made by
Bishop-Wisecarver and I was surprised at the
difference in quoted prices when asking for a quote.
I just fax or email the companies with the part
numbers I want and
get a quote and then decide where I'll buy.
