Hi
The main considerations are size capacity, precision, and cost. DA
(double angle) come in many size ranges they are low cost and available new
and used they are small in dia for the holding size a -1/2'' extension can
hold up to 1/4 dia for example the draw back is they are less accurate and
tend to wear out sooner than ER or TG. ER come in a wide range of sizes with
very good accuracy, good rigidity they are $$ and hard to find much in the
way of used or surplus. TG are similar to ER but have a longer taper making
them more accurate and more rigid then ER a TG100 can cover .0935 to 1.0"
they are available new, used and surplus making them more affordable then ER.
The main draw back is they are larger in size for there capacity when holding
small tools the holder can often be to large. My self I like TG100 collets
and then have small DA extensions with collets this gives me large rigid
accurate collets(tg100) and small collet nut dia with the DA when space is
limited. I have the name of a guy in Ohio who sells both TG100's and DA real
cheap he probably has your 30 tapers too! if you want email me off list and
Ill pass his contact info. Hope this helps Josh
