I am planning to upgrade my Bridgeport Mill with ballscrews and
steppers. Any recommendations on the best source of ballscrews for
BP? I want to be able to use the machine in manual as well so I am
going to fit clutches to the drives so I don't motor the stepper
motors when not in use.
Also, for the Z (vertical) axis I want going to put a small ballscrew
on the quill rather than putting power on the knee. Good idea/bad
idea?
