Calling or RFQ www.roton.com they manufacture rolled ball screws, not
precision ground. Someone on this list said they were able to obtain +/-
0.003" accuracy with them. These are very reasonably priced. Roton will
sell direct.
Also, call your local bearing distributors. They will sell you ball screws.
Most bearing places don't have them in stock. Call them first.
Cheers.

Subject: Price of the ballscrew??
Hi:
I am new in this group and studing in UK now.
From my name, you may guess that I am a Chinese.
YES or No!! I am not sure if I am, because I came from Taiwan.
I am trying to draw a plan to convert a small mill(Sieg small mill
X3) to CNC and would like to use ballscrew. But I don't have any
ideal about the price of ballscrew to set my budget. In Taiwan, we
have a lot of factories making ballscrew, but most of them would not
provide price for hobbist or they ususlly sell it by bundle. I am
trying to find a retailer of them, but have not yet.
So is there someone ever bought a ballscrew for conversion,
or any on-line shop which has price-list and sell it by EA?
Cheers
Tom
