NEMA 42 motor mount

Hello:

If mounting a big NEMA 42 stepper motor (1125 oz-in) on something other than
a factory-made screw-driven table (a direct drive application), what do you
suggest mounting the motor on? (how thick ...1/4", 3/8", 1/2" ?)
