Just do a google search on "wire saw" and you will come up with
sources. Saws that I have used start with a spool of wire 1000
feet long and carry a slurry of carbide back and forth. I was
one source that would supply lengths of 100 Km and others that
use only a few inches. Wire Saws are a staple of the silicon
wafer manufacturing industry.
