Receiving messages from Yahoo

To All,
Sorry this is off-topic but I need to notify the group in case someone
here might care...
I did some investigating to find out why my group-mail wasnt getting to me
sometimes or just being deleted entirely.
Well I finally found the root cause. Its my Internet Provider. It turns
out some providers have started a little war with Yahoo.
My provider claims Yahoo is creating "Fake Email Addresses" (???) to use
to Mass-Advertise or send Mass-Spamm to everyone that has a Yahoo Email
address.
So I guess in retaliation they are bouncing all emails back to Yahoo. Thus,
I dont get my Groupmail... (or most of it anyway...)
They have a Spamm Filter installed that really doesnt work very well because
I'm still getting all of Yahoo's Spamm and very little CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO
messages.
I have complained repeatedly but the only response I get is, "I'm sorry sir
but there is nothing I can do for you..."
I have yet to work my way up to Upper Manager yet but I doubt it would do
any good.....
They had been filtering my mail for almost a year now without telling me...
I am curious of how legal that would be??? Anyone know?
So I'm stuck having to log into Yahoo and manually go through the messages..
Sort of a pain considering how easy it was before...
So if anyone is wondering why the groups messages seem to stop flowing once
in a while, consider the "Yahoo Spamm War"...
In your Yahoo Groups section there is a selection called "Preferences" (I
think) that keeps a count of BOUNCED emails that came back to them. After
enough mail bounces
Yahoo shuts-off the emails totally, and you have to manually go back through
and turn it back on...
I'm also looking at different providers, but what if they are Filtering
Yahoo also??? Startup Fee's are Very Big for DSL and Cable so I have to be
sure...
Vince
ps. Do you think Yahoo would listen if we asked them to stop Spamming?
:')
