Hi,
Its much more simple then the servo PID tuning. You just have to set
accelaration and max velocity with respect to your system resonance
points. With steppers, if you speed up too fast and hit a resonance
point, your stepper just stalls, especially with a massive load. All
I know is, I played with EMC for days and different settings, and in
1 hour came upto speed on the product and my mill was moving 3times
as fast as I had thought its max would be.
