Bill,
I made contact with Jena-Tec a while back and they have an almost perfect fit
BS for the vertical Z axis. I was promised a sample loaner, but nothing has yet
shown up. I have been very busy with school and work, but need to call again.
Please try on your end.

The screw I have my eye on is p/n JTm3-08020.
Single piece price is high, so a group buy (10 pieces) would be very attractive.
Screw length is 300mm, pitch 2mm, Dia 8mm, nut dia 16.5mm, length 27 with threaded end.
This will require minimal modificatiion of the mill column to shoe horn it in,
but will be well worth the effort. The nut is the smallest profile I have ever seen
as they have an internal track to shift the balls around.
Get the print catalog, lots of good info and diagrams.
Also mention was made on list that some manf has discovered a way to make rolled BS
with equal accuracy to ground screws and lower prices. Perhaps smaller screws as well?
