Charles, your method could find an accurate home but only if you had
some idea of where the machine was anyway. You can't move only one
actuator at a time unless disconnected.
To use home switches it would probably have to go where it thought
home was and then jiggle in a search pattern until all home switches
became homed when all legs were retracted simultaneously.
