Hi everyone,
Can anyone give me any info on this stepper?
Sigma Instruments model 20-4247TD-24245
I bought a pair of these off ebay and the seller didn't have any info and web searches have done no good.
They are very heavy at about 10 pounds each. They seem about the same size as a nema 34 stepper I have but these are heavier. The case looks like thick wall pipe! They are green, which leads me to believe they may be from medical equipment.
They are 5 wire, with screw terminals under a plate on the end. They are 4.3 ohms per coil to the common. The common is terminal #2.
I have played with the wires to try to determine phase order, and a 12V car battery charger will make them step, but I don't have a clue as to the proper voltage or current. With only one common it is a trick to figure out.
Any info will be helpful.
