Its quite common to parallel lines on any busses that use a chip
select pin. No chip will "listen" to whats on those lines unless its
chip select pin is active.
Just make sure you read the specs carefully. CS lines are typically
active LOW, not high. Also be carefull of activating more than one
chip at a time, you could draw too much current on the data lines
and burn out your source pin (MCU or parallel port, whatever).
