Bill - you're the list manager.
Block the stuff that *you* think will cause problems, then we won't be
exposed to either the controversial message or the 100 times
multiplication
of hard feelings and useless bandwidth in responses.
The ECHO is what's doing the damage.
If you feel the ebay item is a valid post. let it fly.
Sure, you'll get lots of personal mail for a while, but we'll eventually
end up with an etiquette list and a FAQ that you can point to.
I hate to load you with more stuff, but you're doing a great job now,

expose yourself to more juvenile abuse at the hands of people who
develop
positively evil personalities when behind the keyboard?
Keep only civil messages in plain view, and everyone will be civil.
The greatest damage to useful fora like this always comes from those
who feel they've been harmed or maligned. They can go to the cnc or
rcm newsgroups to tell their sad stories.
