I found this message from this list through Google.



If your encoders are marked up as H9700 I have just taken one of mine to
bits. The top and the bottem seperate and there is also a little circuit
board on the back with the following markings :

Black = G
Red = V
Yellow = A
Blue = B

If this is like the USDigital markings it will be V= +5volts, G= ground,
A and B are signals out for quarature outputs.
