G-Code and MaxNC

Hello all,
New to CNC here. I have a MaxNC Mill, and have been using FeatureCAM to
generate toolpaths, which it does. The problem is that the MAXWIN program
that MaxNC provides doesn't like something about the generated G-Code.
Has anyone had this experience? Is there some sort of G-Code normalizer,
or will I need to write my own? Does anyone know if they use some standard
sort of controller? I'd dearly love to substitute better software for what
they provide.
Thanks in advance!
