I say this because it may be easier now, when things is fresh in memory. I

And I did not test what outputs you could get of steppers, I installed a STG
board.
I did mention some timing data a while ago.
Would it be possible to make some simple test for steppers, maybe just log the
update freq. and make a list for comparison for what different computers could
do ?
If I just had the time, I would have like to test 386s too.
