CNC conversion questions (HF 40939 mill)

I'm new to the group, so please excuse is this is a repost. I
searched the archives, but haven't turned up anything specific.
I just picked up a Harbor Freight 40939 mill (also sold by Grizzly,
enco etc.) It is a small knee mill for those who wish to avoid the
harbor fright website.
Obviously, I would like to add CNC capabilities to it. Anyone
complete a conversion of this mill? I'm leaning toward Gecko
drivers, and servo's (nema 34's sound correct?) but hate to reinvent
the wheel if there is someone who has allready put together the
appropriate bracketry. I'm after a 3 axis machine, but will probably
stop at X and Y for now until I'm confident I know what I'm doing.
(Need to also consider if Y will be the headstock or the Knee that
moves) Ideally, I would keep the handwheels, since this is my only
mill and it might be nice to tackle some easy and quick projects
without firing up the computer.
Still researching the software side of things, but frankly I'm just
not there yet.
Thanks in advance, I would love some pictures, links, etc if
available.
