You might picture installing a 3-jaw chuck on your mill spindle, a
tool post on your bed, adjusting and locking down the Y-axis, and
writing G-code for turning a part chucked up in the spindle. If you
need to CNC turn just rings and knobs, for instance, and don't need
the tail stock, then the mill might work just fine. Charles Hixon
