G9 auto acceleration. decelleration in Bridgeport Boss 9

Does anybody have experience using the G8, G9, and G99 Bridgeport
Boss specific g-codes? I have a R2E4 Series 2 machine that runs
well, except for the automatic decelleration between each block. For
most work it is not a problem, but with larger surfacing files it
significantly increases machine time and possibly worsens the surface
finish due to the slight dwell at the end of each block. i tried
putting the G9 in the .nc file, but it seems to make no difference.
if anyone can give some advice i would appreciate it.
