One recommendation for parts is that if you live near Orlando, check
out Skycraft Surplus.

Design seems to be (so far), based on previous posts, is a gantry
style machine, fixed belt, stepper or servo as you wish, (I still am
not absolutely sure where the dividing line is, depends on what you
have in hardware already, or what you can get).

Y axis can be acme screw, although others have different opinions,
ditto for Z axis.

Not sure what kind of speeds/loads/accuracy you want, but that's a
start.

(definitely not the expert here....<grin>)
