Thanks for the post of that French web site. I dont speak a word of
French, but I sure do understand pictures, and that site is full of
excellent pics.

It is very interesting to see the wide range of solutions to the same
problem, from one that looked to be mostly wood with drawer slides for
rail to some very expensive looking ones with linear bearings and very
complicated mountings.

Someone put a HUGE ammount of work into just assembling the web page-

It would be very valuable to have such a site, or even a collection of
links, to similar projects for CNC milling machines. I will add some
more pics to my Grizz site this weekend.

As a side note, I wanted a dedicated PC to run my Grizz, and had room
only for a laptop. I found a supplier of used laptops that is quite
reasonable. I got a Compaq LTE5000, 75mhz Pentium, 24mb mem and 810mb
disk, with a fresh install of Win95, for US$319. This should make a
fine controller for my machine. I got it mounted to a bracket last
night, should finish the wiring and run it a bit on the weekend.

the laptop came from http://www.truedataproducts.com
