Yep. For example, I did a search at HGR surplus here in
Cleveland:

Typing "granite surface plate" in the box came up with 31
plates, ranging from $49 for a 18x24x4, up to $399 for some
big 48x96x10 ones (or a massive 60x60x24 block).

More reasonable sizes included 36x36x3.25 (thin for a
surface plate, but good for a machine, not so heavy)
for $299, 24x24x4 for $99, 24x30x5 with stand for $99,
and 24x18x4 with stand for $99.

Shipping not included!
