I would like to replace my Microkinetics 34M470,470 oz-in stepper
motors by a DC brushed motors to move faster my gantry!
Microkinetics 34M470 SPECIFICATIONS:
Holding Torque....... 470 oz-in
Rotor Inertia........ 10.2 oz-in2
Step Angle........... 1.8 deg.
Weight............... 7.7 lbs
Resistance Rate Current Rated Voltage Inductance
ohms amps volts mH
Parallel 0.21 8.4 1.75 2.6
Series 0.84 4.2 3.5 10.4
Half Coil 0.42 5.9 2.5 2.6
I currently use Gecko 201 and will use Gecko 320.
How can I choose an equivalent motor ? What are the encoder
characteristics ?
