It's a full 3-axis (4th and 5th are optional) with a 7hp spindle - the only CNC machine that Fanuc makes, probably as a demonstration platform for their controllers. I got it new over a year ago when a friend made me an offer that I simply couldn't refuse. It was an earlier demo model (i.e. has almost all bells and whistles) for their US dealer that was never unpacked and sat lying in a warehouse for 2 years all boxed up.

Nice compact machine, we're pretty happy with it. From what I found out before I bought it, apparently Raytheon and a few other companies use the same machine for missile components. Heh... I should probably try to get on some DoD contracts, then again everything is going to China and India these days. :(
