Join the Turbocnc Yahoo group <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/turbocnc>
and have a look in the files area for SimpleProbe. This is a design for
an easy to make probe that is apparently quite accurate.

Both Turbocnc and Mach2 have probing facilities already.
