List subjects, no changes

It has been suggested that this list be opened to all subjects, my feelings
is that there are plenty of other lists that are wide open, and that this was
not the intention of this list when it is opened, nor do I feel that it
should be the direction of the list in the future.
At times there will be discussions of offlist subjects, and I do not have too
much problem with that.

However I do have problems with things turning into cat fights, with people
attacking each other in flame wars. I have seen other lists completely
destroyed as a result of this type of input. I am sorry to ever have to step
in, but have a duty to the list, and not to win a popularity contest. so if
everyone will not flame, I can go back to lurking....grin.

So before the discussion starts, I will say that the list will basically stay
within the scope of the list subjects.
My reasoning behind this is that the subjects we are interested in, are
seldom discussed on other lists, That is why I started this one. I felt that
there was need, and I do think that the list with all the help of its members
has helped to fill that need.

There is the Modeleng list for those that want to discuss other subjects, and
many on this list belong to both for that reason.
Anyone is free to start there own list, and have any subjects and rules they
want.
We have discussed sales on the list, and what we have been getting looks good
to me, but would still prefer no complete catalog pages, look at the way Dan
is handling things, nicely done.
