Hello guys, I'm realatively new at CNC, been studying about it
several years. About a year ago, I aquired homebuilt 48"x48"
router,nema's 23 steppers,THK guide rails with linear bearings, 3
axis, aluminum frame, Oregon System drivers, from machinest friend (
MR. LINEAR on ebay ). Was amazed to see it cut so exact from
HPGL/plot off Corel drawings, after 35 years doing it by hand.
Yea,another sawdust breather.Am presently using DAN CAD 3D,and would
like to move up to a windows software. Have aquired BOBCAD v18,and
belive I now have to get a controller like MACH 2,because I'm
presently only step/direction with DAN CAD 3D.Is there any website
comparing different control software, and any other software I might
need in order to upgrade to be able to use BOBCAD,or any other
problems like post processor etc.Any sugestions would be greatly
appreciated. Also, anybody in the San Antonio area,as I have a
GOZILLION questions, and am one slooow typist. PS, if you don't
already know, this is a really great site. THANKS, Gary Rutledge
