Gilles software does not use standard U,V designations but it does run two
X,Y axis independent of each other. I think this is only because Gilles is
not a machinist and the naming convention are easier for the users to
understand. Gilles software is designed primarily for cutting model airplane
wing cores but it has the capability of cutting other shapes. There are
programs written for it that accept DXF you can take a look at what's
