For $1300, you are most likely looking at precision ground ball screws.
(or a heck of a markup...) When I was looking for ball screw kits for my
BP, I seem to recall HiWin offered ground ball screws for around $900.
Personally I'd rather spend an extra couple hundred for the added
accuracy, but that's a business-biased judgement.
A quick search on Alta Vista didn't turn up a web site, suspect they
don't have one. I've got literature buried somewhere, can dig it out and
post a phone number.
