EMC controls? Stepper and servo

I just picked up a used robot that came out of a semiconductor manufacturing fab. Typical
arm type robot. had three steppers in it (Pac Sci nema 23 and 34) a couple ball screws and
linear slides, a very neat harmonic gearbox that turned the whole thing amd lots of other
usefull parts. Got the PSU and the base has the control electronic with a logic section and
the drive section.

The drive section is what interest me the most, there are four bipolar stepper drivers and
two DC servo drives. They have a logo with the Letters EMC on them. Could this be
emerson motor control? The steppers have a four pin connections for the motor, nine for
power (easy part) and a 24 IDC type connector for the input. 9 pins of that are connected
the ground and 7 of the pins opposite of that go to a row of jumpers. The cards were daisy
chained together so I think that this may have set some sort of address. there are 10
remaining line that go into a sn74hc273. I assume that these may be the pulse inputs.

Any ideas? I can take some pic if it would help.
