EMC for the newbie

Hello,
I've seen alot of talk recently about some of the new BDI installs
of Linux EMC. I've been wanting to try it out for a while, but never
have. What would be the best (easiest to get running, best
documentation, latest drivers etc...) version for someone who has
never even touched Linux? I've got an Athlon XP 2800 with 1Gig RAM
and a cable modem and CD burner so bigger d/l's are ok. Thanks for
any opinions.
